Source protection initiatives and our use of environmentally friendly technologies

We collaborate with local authorities to implement an effective environmental protection plan that ensures that the land surrounding water resources is not affected by our industrial activity. To protect our precious water resources, we take a variety of measures in three key areas:

  • We select water resources in areas that are not environmentally sensitive.
  • We focus on resource protection at our water collection facilities.
  • We guarantee the protection of the entire catchment area.

Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency

Qafshtama has taken a number of steps to reduce its carbon footprint, including:

  • Using 70% renewable energy generated by solar photovoltaic panels.
  • Reducing energy consumption through initiatives such as replacing old compressors and rationalizing their use.
  • Implementing the ISO 50001 Management System Standards for effective control and monitoring of energy consumption management, as well as the identification of potential energy efficiency situations.

These initiatives have resulted in a significant reduction in Qafshtama's carbon footprint, making it a leader in sustainability.

It ensures the company's quality at 360° and monitors its operations throughout. The company's Quality System covers the following:

  • Cultivation, bottling, and marketing of natural mineral waters, spring waters, and table waters.

An effective food safety management system (FSMS) that reinforces an organization’s control on food safety hazards and ensures that its products are safe for consumption.

ISO 14001:2015 certification

This certification which provides guidelines for the creation of an environmental management system (EMS).
